Meet the Team
I've spent years building data systems across the full spectrum - early-stage startups, a startup incubator, and Fortune 500 companies. I've seen every level of data maturity, from "everything lives in spreadsheets" to petabyte-scale real-time pipelines.
Along the way, I got frustrated. Broken, duct-taped systems that nobody planned properly. Legacy infrastructure that made simple questions impossible to answer. Teams drowning in data but starving for insights. That frustration became my motivation - now I'm obsessed with helping companies avoid those same problems by getting data strategy right early.
My background is a bit unconventional: mechanical engineering degree, formal experience in education and training, and years in the trenches as a data engineer. That combination means I think about systems holistically - reliability, failure modes, what breaks under load - and I know how to explain complex technical concepts in plain English. The best solution is worthless if stakeholders don't understand it.

I translate technical complexity into business clarity. My background in education means I've spent years learning how to explain difficult concepts to non-technical audiences. You'll understand what's being built, why it matters, and how to talk about it with your team.
I start with what you need, not what's technically interesting. A lot of consultants want to build the most sophisticated thing possible. I want to build what actually solves your problem. Sometimes that's a complex ML platform. Sometimes it's a well-designed spreadsheet and a plan to grow.
Fixed-scope projects, not hourly consulting. You get a clear deliverable, timeline, and price upfront. No scope creep, no surprise bills. If requirements change, we discuss it explicitly and adjust the agreement.
You own everything. All code, all documentation, all infrastructure. When the project ends, you have everything you need to run and maintain the system. No vendor lock-in, no proprietary tooling.
